~12 hours before Grand Final~

Sorry but it’s true that this event has never failed to be my burden… since one year ago when I was admitted into one of the main comms. The canvassing and design issue really drives me crazy… 3 Sub comm wanna quit due to the canvassing issue… I can’t say no as I will do the same most probably if I were one of them.

Working during attachment or design for booklet+lyric books+cd sticker alone is not sickening but it is definitely killing me when all come together! One of my valleys in life but glad to see that I have passed it! Spent 3 weekends yet nothing creative came out. Hmm finally I confess that I am not creative. Big thanks to XinYi for her ideas!

and at the moment when I thought everything is going to an end the day before the finale, I have spent one whole day yet nothing achieved, again. Well-arranged booklet suddenly
turned into a mess with 2 repeated content pages and one page missed out. Yup I was really stressed and surprised looking at the printed sample but thinking ways of amendment is way more important and urgent than pointing the finger at anyone…as long as I am sure I have done my part correctly.

Went to library two hours before it’s closed (around 3pm) but the staff occupied the single color printer for more than one hour. 40 min left and I thought what I need to do was just waiting for 120 pages to be printed… again contrary to my expectation, the maximum no of pages to be printed once is just 15 (for photos like JPEG)… I turned to the staff for help but guess what!? ‘Then you just do it repeatedly la!’ Well I shouldn’t ask that… my action just reminded me of one Malay pantun (or sajak or watever) learnt at Form 4 regarding a stupid man kena all the unlucky occurrences due to his stupidity…

30 pages printed and 5 min left…light turned off and two of the staff prepared to leave. I gave up and prepared to borrow paper cutter to cut the printed pages… ‘We are going to leave and no more paper cutter!’ … &*%$#@!

JP is the only place came to my ‘burning’ mind... Again an impulsive blunder to rush into the bus once I saw one downstairs from north spine crossover…

Found Kodak and Fujifilm at JP basement one. $0.20 per page for B&W photocopy!!! Almost 10 times the price than in NTU! Count it as the nature of responsibility or stringiness, I smsed ‘all’ (should be less than 10…) my frens to find alternatives of printing without spending that much in JP and reported to my president about the problem…

‘Color printed?? We are going to print it B&W le… Hmm but never mind, keep 30 color-printed pages and the rest just print with B&W.’ … ok my fault of miscommunication.

After 1 hour yet all my frens were too busy to reply my sms (can’t blame them as I was used to be one of them haaaa!), I decided to go to SAC to print… Thanks for Quan Cheng’s reply to tell me it opens till 2am…

Pressed 3times the button to print 15pages… sheer ignorance again… what came out is a pile of messy paper with black and white patches… I am really too tired to be angry… Why don’t I print it in JP? My fault…

South spine Free access lab or JP? Tried the first one before going to last resort… ‘FAL is opened at 10am-6pm in Sat and 10am-*** in Sun’ … I tried my best not to think that I could still print it here after Lee Wee Nam is closed at 5pm without going to JP… OK print it tomorrow and god blesses me everything will be ok tomorrow…

Now sitting in front of pc… first time I heard the CD with songs from 10 Music Express 14 (ME) finalists. I started to think that I am doing something noble so far to distribute the precious artwork from youth to everyone who loves music! Yes a bit exaggerating but their masterpieces really arouse my interest to compose songs to convey all my emotions- depression, happiness, anger, stress, disappointment and everything to the people I like, if not the world.

Need to continue my IA weekly report for the last 7 weeks… Hopefully tomorrow there will be a memorable (I don’t expect a perfect one…) page of MUSIC EXPRESS 14 written by all the main comm, finalists, and me!
